The AIM Clinic is proud to be the only CVAC Pod™ provider in New England! It’s our belief that the therapies elite athletes use to improve performance can empower our patients to reach a new level of health.

What is CVAC™
CVAC™ stands for “Cyclic Variations in Adaptive Conditioning.” Rapide changes in pressure stimulate positive physiologic changes for both patients looking to speed recovery from chronic illness and to help strengthen the body to prevent disease.

Benefits Possible with CVAC™ Include:

Healing Mechanisms possible with CVAC™ Include:

AGEs and Health

The accumulation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products) is currently thought to be an underlying factor in nearly all diseases. There is no drug that has been shown to be effective in reducing AGEs in the body. The only method that’s been found to reduce some AGEs from the body is exercise. Since CVAC™ is a form of cellular exercise on every cell of the body, many consider it to be the best method to remove AGEs from our cells currently available. See the below chart from this study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2920582/figure/fig4/ for more information on the connection of AGEs on disease and accelerated aging:

Neurologic Benefits

It is common to feel “like someone cleaned the windshield on my brain.” This benefit has been visualized with EEG Brain Mapping (see below example). One of the mechanisms for this is thought to be increased CSF flow. Conditions such as TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and Alzheimer’s Disease are associated with decreased CSF flow. It’s no wonder why many elite UFC fighters use CVAC™ regularly!

Neurologic Benefits

Our providers usually recommend 20-60 minutes 1-2x/week with progressively stronger treatments depending on treatment response. For patients that want to accelerate healing, it is safe to have CVAC™ sessions daily.

The CVAC™ can work as a stand-alone treatment or in synergy with other therapies at the AIM Clinic.

We recommend meeting with one of our providers for an individualized treatment plan with CVAC™ that addresses your health concerns from a holistic perspective.

Tracking Progress

Symptom Survey – We have a CVAC™ specific symptom improvement survey to help track improvements. Questions include sleep quality, memory, sense of well, energy, stamina, focus, and pain.

Labs – We recommend discussing with your AIM Clinic provider which lab tests make sense to track considering your individual health issues and goals. These could include CRP (inflammation), HemA1c (blood sugar/diabetes), infection markers, hormone levels, lipid panel (cholesterol), Lp-PLA2 (plaque marker), and fibrinogen (clot risk).

Vitals – Blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate.

Phase Angle – A marker of overall health by measuring cell health using a BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) device.
